My daughter has very sensitive skin and even the mildest of soaps can cause her skin a bad reaction. This soap is espically made for skin like hers. Handmade, 100% unpasteurized raw goat's milk soap. I am very pleased with my results from Tierra Mia Organics soap! My skin is hydrated and the crepe texture is gone from my eyelids! We have an adorable 2 year old Cockapoo who only recently started showing quite a bit of anxiety. He would bark at everything and everyone (a problem since we live in the city). We had tried training and positive reinforcement, and the whole thing seemed to get worse. We were at our wits' end.

One of our Greyhound mom neighbors
said she had used this to calm her jittery pup, so we tried it. The first application...nothing. But we continued using it as directed for a few days. Today, I had him out on the deck with me, and whenever he'd start barking, I'd just call him back. The barking would stop, and he'd come.

I adopted a rescue Beagle in January who had a lot of fears. I tried everything from behavior modification to bribery to Xanax for pets. Nothing seemed to work. Then when my vet suggested Prozac, I called a friend of mine who knew a lot about herbal remedies. She suggested Rescue Remedy. I figured I had nothing to lose, so ordered some. I give "Little Orphan Annie" (Annie for short) a dose around 5 pm each night, and while she is still a bit spooky on some things, she is vastly improved, and I now have hope that with a continuation of the Rescue Remedy, she will significantly lower her fear level as time goes on. I can't say enough good things about this product, and have recommended it to a vet tech who is a friend of mine.

I rescued a year old puppy about 6 months ago and he was having issues with sleeping through the night because he was distressed being in a new place/bed. I started out giving him 4 drops every night with a little water and he loves it and laps it up and sleeps through the night as do I. If he's going to the Vet or something new that might upset him I just put a drop or 2 on my finger and it settles him down immediately. I always have a back up in the car for those scary trips

I have a 13 year old cat with chronic irritable bowel syndrome. He recieves steroid shots once a month, but they wear off by the end of the month. I purchased Bach's rescue remedy drops to help integrate a feral rescue with the 7 cats already in the household. My feral 'Wilbur' sometimes goes after the other male cats, even biting. After a trip to the vet to deal with a nasty bite, I started using Bach's drops. He is a different cat after the drops! If I didn't witness the transformation, it would be hard to believe. Wilbur just calms down and chills. He plays nicer, and stops going after other males! This is huge. He is still learning how to socialize, but with the help of these drops, he's making great strides. ~ Catnip Addiction And Other Dangers ~

"Catnip addiction is not a problem for your feline, but you should watch for other potential problems from catnip."

Should You Worry About A Catnip Addiction?
Catnip causes a euphoric reaction in 50 to 70% of all felines. Other cats are immune to its drug-like effects.

Whether you give your kitty a pinch or two of crushed catnip leaves or give her the herb in a toy, the reaction will be the same.

Kittens don't react at all until they are about six months old.

It's the smell of the catnip that makes your cat "high." The quality and potency of the leaves will also influence your kitty's reaction.

Felines are more likely to react to organic catnip as it contains a higher concentration of the part of the catnip plant cats react to (Nepetalactone). In fact, it's the pesticides in non-organic catnip that could be hazardous to your cat's health.

Is Catnip Addictive?
Catnip is not addictive or habit-forming to your cat. If anything, your cat may become bored or immune to catnip if she is exposed to it too often.

As a matter of fact, regular "doses" of catnip can be beneficial to your cat's health and will help to keep your cat from eating other plants in your home. So there's no need to worry about a catnip addiction.

What About Eating Catnip?
While most cats like to roll in catnip or on a catnip toy, some like to eat the leaves. This is mostly safe for your cat.

Your cat's stomach may be sensitive to large quantities of catnip and she may start vomiting or have diarrhea. If this happens, try putting out less catnip or using catnip toys. This will allow your cat to have the pleasure, but prevent her from eating the leaves.

What About Allergies?
On rare occasion, some cats may have an allergic reaction to catnip. Organic catnip probably causes less allergic reactions.

When first giving your cat catnip or a catnip toy to play with, you should watch to see what kind of reaction your cat has. At the extreme, if your cat becomes unconscious or has seizures, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Catnip And Aggressive Behavior
Some cats may react aggressively when they are "high" on catnip. If you have more than one cat, it's a good idea to give them catnip separately to gauge their reactions. If things seem okay, then let them play together. It will heighten their fun.

Cats who have an aggressive response to catnip may also act aggressively towards people.

A small level of aggression can be tolerated. Just be sure to supervise and don't let it get out of hand.

Even if your cat is one who adores catnip, a catnip addiction is nothing to worry about. Cats do not become addicted to this herb.

Since the 1960s, coconut oil has been unfairly labeled as "unhealthy". The media reported studies of how tropical coconut oils were laden with artery-clogging saturated fats. Before buying any coconut oil I did some research and saw Tropical Traditions oil mentioned, so I bought some. I didn't like it - the odor was strange and the taste ... well it is processed by fermentation, and I think the flavor was ... strange because of that. Nutiva coconut oil, however tastes wonderful in the foods I've used it in so far. It is very filling, and gives a noticeable energy boost - I like to eat it before going hiking. And the aroma! - I would pay big money if I could make my house smell the way this oil smells. It's incredible.

This extra virgin coconut oil is a real miracle worker. I use it on my skin, eat it by the spoonful, and use it for panfrying. For those who used to love heavily-buttered english muffins, and who gave it up for obvious reasons, weep no more :-). It's even better with coconut oil, just as tasty and it is so good for you. I love this product and the price can't be beat. My whole familiy uses it including my pets. I mix a tablespoon into thier food and they love it. It has many health benefits for both pets and humans. It has eliminated the problem i had with my dog getting worms because it kills parasites and their coat is so smooth and glossy. I just got done baking the most delicouse and moist cookies substituting cocunut oil for butter in the recipe. It it by far healthier than butter and can be heated for frying and cooking with out causing oxidation. I can't rave enough about this product and use it as a massage oil as well as a deep conditioner for my hair. Great product...I use it to cook with - add to my coffee, tea and homemade granola bars. This product will kill your sweet tooth, craving for junk food, and curve your appetite. It absorbed amazingly fast and smelled delicious. Next, I cooked dinner with it. Stirfryed some baby potatoes, onions and chicken and tomatoes (with lime and jalapeno if anybody else cares to eat this!) and some garlic powder, salt and pepper. IT TASTED AMAZING! I wasn't even over powered by any coconut taste. I think as the oil heats the flavor and scent dissapates. Increase your dose slowly on this, take it in the morning, and watch how much extra you're getting in cooked and baked foods, if you use it for cooking. I had no idea of how powerful it was and was running around as if shot out of a cannon because I was eating it in generous quantities. I lost 6 pounds in a week, with out any effort. I ordered this product after reading about the coconut oil diet. I had tried a different brand and wasn't very pleased with it, but decided to try another brand before I gave up on coconut oil. The Nutiva coconut oil smells and tastes so much better! I've been using it for about a month now. Two tablespoons a day - blended in a protein drink every morning. I've also been using it on my skin. I've lost significant weight (don't watch the scale, but I'm wearing my "skinny" pants), and my skin - it is incredible what this stuff does for your skin. I am a lean woman however with central body obesity due to endocrine disorders. When I take coconut oil my belly fat decreases very quickly. I have read that coconut oil, just like MACA and beta sitosterol is a DHEA booster. This could explain the reduction in visceral fat.

It seems everyone love Nutiva, and for good reason. It has the loveliest scent, tastes delicious, and is very economical. We spread it on toast, saute and roast veggies with it, and cook whole grains with it. It's also quite good as a substitute for butter in brownies. I previously purchased Coconut oil that was not from Nutiva, but that it was refined. I felt that I wasn't getting much as it was from a glass jar and that it had no taste. refined, but it was good for cooking. I decided to purchase this Coconut oil as I read the benefits about Organic & unrefined coconut oil. I apply this oil to my hair, and body; I even apply it to my feet and put socks on to leave my feet feeling soft. The oil's smell isn't overwhelming, but it's a very nice scent of real and fresh coconut. I started using the oil for my cooking, and I don't regret it. It's better than butter and olive oil. I cook with oil with vegetables in a pan, and I cook my eggs in it. I also put it on bagels/bread and it's wonderful. DE is the remains of microscopic single celled plants (phytoplankton) called diatoms that lived in the oceans and lakes that once covered the western part of the US and other parts of the world. These deposits are mined from underwater beds or from ancient dried lake bottoms thousands of years old. This means, DE has an unlimited shelf life provided you keep it dry.

DE is mined, milled and processed into a myriad of types for a large variety of uses. Filtering and filler are two main uses but DE also ends up in chemical insecticides, cosmetics, drugs, paints, etc. Because the milling produces different sized and shaped particles, it is important not to use the filtering type for agricultural purposes.

Pool filter grade DE has been heat and chemically treated and will poison an animal or human who ingests it, so it is always of utmost importance to only obtain food grade DE to use in and around your household.

Diatoms are the grass of the oceans and lakes. Just as grass is the staple food of earth animals. Diatoms (algae) are the food of the ocean or fresh water grazers. Magnified 7000x, DE looks like spiney honeycombs.

Perma-Guard Pure Food Grade DE is EPA approved to be mixed with grains to control mealworms and other pests and has been exempted from tolerance requirements as an inert, inactive ingredient in chemical pesticides. DE is EPA approved against indoor and outdoor crawling insects. DE is USDA approved as an anti-caking agent for animal feed. DE is FDA approved for internal and external use and has a rating of Food Chemical Codex Grade.

The DE is organic OMRI listed Codex Food Chemical Grade. It is a non-treated, non-calcined fresh water DE. It is mined, crushed, sifted, bagged and pure white in color. It contains less than .5% silicon. There are food grade DE products that are yellow or tan in color which indicates a higher iron content. Those which are gray in color contain more clay.

Internal Parasite Control
DE makes a very effective natural insecticide. The insecticidal quality of DE is due to the razor sharp edges of the diatom remains. When DE comes in contact with the insects, the sharp edges lacerate the bugs waxy exoskeleton and then the powdery DE absorbs the body fluids causing death from dehydration.

DE has been used for at least two decades as a natural wormer for livestock. Some believe DE scratches and dehydrates parasites. Some scientists believe that DE is a de-ionizer or de-energizer of worms or parasites. Regardless, people report definite control. To be most effective, DE must be fed long enough to catch all newly hatching eggs or cycling of the worms through the lungs and back to the stomach. A minimum of 60 days is suggested by many, 90 days is advised for lung worms.

DE works in a purely physical/mechanical manner, not "chemical" and thus has no chemical toxicity. Best yet, parasites don’t build up a tolerance/immunity to its chemical reaction, so rotation of wormers is unnecessary.

People often ask why Perma-Guard Pure Food Grade DE is rated Food Chemical Codex Grade. If it was only labeled as "food" grade, people would think it is only useful as a food supplement and since DE "acts" like a chemical by dehydrating insects, it was labeled "chemical" grade since it acts like a chemical, but it is NOT a true chemical like a pesticide or insecticide. It is perfectly safe for oral consumption.

Internal feeding of DE helps eliminate most internal worms, including roundworms, pin worms, tapeworms, etc. It's also excellent when fed daily to keep down fly loads, since DE is eliminated from the body, exactly the way it went in, it helps reduce the manure odor and kills flies that come in contact with it.

Mix in animal feed or grain and/or feed free choice. Our dogs, goats and fowl eat it free choice.

*Some recommend to dose humans by mixing DE in a glass of water before bed or first thing in the morning, well before breakfast, to allow DE time to move through and absorb toxins from ones digestive tract without interfering or absorbing nutrients from foods or liquids. Some report great results consuming 1 teaspoon in a glass of water prior to each meal, 3x/day.

If fecal counts are not zero for worms and ova after feeding DE for 30 days, increase the daily dose. Feeding too small a dose of DE will not give desired results. Increasing the dose, even if greater than the manufacturers recommendations, will not harm anyone. Some horses do fine on 1/2 cup of DE daily, others need a full cup. This reminds us, that all beings are different. So again, if the worm and ova counts are not zero, increase your daily dose.

Please NOTE, when you know you are dealing with a worm infestation or tapeworms in particular, it is the opinion of Wolf Creek Ranch that it is best to at least double the recommended dosage as suggested above by the manufacturer. Remember, the DE MUST come in contact with the worms in order to "dehydrate" them and since worms can kill us or our pets and at the very least, cause disease, more is better to prevent having to deal with disease or death.

IS DE Safe To Use During Pregnancy?
Definitely! When DE is fed in adequate daily amounts, it eliminates all intestinal worms and parasites. This helps the animal or human better absorb the nutrients from the food they eat, which in turn benefits the being, but also greatly benefits the unborn animals or infant by passing on these nutrients to them helping to make them stronger and healthier as well.

For human use, it is best to start at a small dose - 1/2 teaspoon for the first few days while making sure to drink plenty of clean fresh pure water (not city tap water) and slowly increasing the dose as your body tells you it is okay to do so and to make sure you don't have a heavy detox.

Home Applications
If you are building a new barn, home or other structure that is the perfect time to use DE and apply it on the inside of the walls, before installing insulation, in the attic, etc. to prevent pesky bugs now and in the future. DE helps provide a nice safe home environment that doesn't have ants - carpenter ants, red ants, black ants, bedbugs, centipedes, cockroaches, earwigs, fleas, flies, mites, silverfish, ticks and all other bugs and insects.

DE can be applied along baseboards, inside cabinets and drawers, inside wall outlets, lightly in carpeting , under appliances and anywhere you are having an insect problem. Test lightly in an area of your home that you want to apply it to make sure you and your family don't have a reaction to it, then apply or reapply as needed. Bugs lay larvae or eggs, so DE must be left out long enough for the hatchlings to come in contact with it. You can vacuum the treated areas once/week (make sure some DE is in the vacuum bag to dehydrate any live insects you vacuum up), then reapply if needed. Since most insects have a laying cycle of 7 to 21 days, we recommend treating inside the home for at least 30 days for best effectiveness.

If the insect problem is coming from outside the home and the insects are now residing in your home, treat both outside the home and inside at the same time for maximum effectiveness.

External Applications For Cats And Dogs
Lightly rub DE into pets coat, fur and bedding to dehydrate fleas, lice, mites and ticks. Dust them lightly, but thoroughly, as in order to kill the parasites, they must come in contact with the DE. Note, external application can take up to 72 hours to dehydrate external parasites.

Lightly sprinkle in household carpet. Leave for 2-3+ days, then vacuum. Please do not get heavy handed with the DE in your carpet, as I have heard from some people advising it causes problems with their vacuum.

External Applications For Barns, Coops, Kennels, Litter Boxes And Livestock
We use DE throughout the barn, fowl coops and pastures. When mucking the barn and coops, I lightly, but thoroughly sprinkle DE absolutely everywhere! It keeps the kidding barn cleansed and dry. In between barn mucking, I sprinkle DE on wet spots to help dry them out and keep flies from laying eggs. It helps keep the ants, crickets, earwigs, flies, mites, silverfish, roaches and all other disgusting insects from bothering us and our wonderful animals.

DE is excellent in the fowl coops -- on the ground, in nesting/dusting boxes to prevent lice and mites. Sprinkle directly on fowl feathers to eliminate mites and lice. One thorough application of DE has their feathers growing back quickly.

DE applied to manure piles keeps fly loads down/eliminated.

Dairy cow owners put DE in burlap bags, so cows can rub against it and sprinkle themselves with DE, which helps to eliminate flies, that land on them, as well as lice, mites and ticks.

Apply to moist kennel areas to reduce odors, dry the area and prevent pest breeding.

Deodorizing and absorption are natural functions of DE, so add to kitty litter to absorb odors and keep the litter box drier.

A small amount of DE applied to livestock water keeps algae from growing on hot summer days. The amount of DE you need to apply depends on the size and color of the water container and climate temperature. Start by experimenting with a small amount of DE in the water container and increase as/if needed.

DE is great for compost piles, to prevent breeding pests and control odors. It will not harm earthworms, provided you just apply to the top of the compost or worm farm soil. The earthworms will slowly work the DE into the soil making them healthier, as well as the soil. Of course, if you put the earthworms in a bucket of DE, it will dehydrate them.

We use DE on the barn floors at kidding time, instead of using lime which can be toxic. This helps prevent earwigs, fleas, flies, lice, mites, termites and other pests from breeding and keeps the newborn kids healthy, happy, strong and disease free.

Yard, Garden And Landscape Applications
DE’s minerals are great for the yard and gardens.

Apply DE to ant hills. Small ants, regardless of color, may require a few applications to completely eliminate them, as they burrow new hills elsewhere, after we cover their initial hill with DE, but if we keep at it, eventually they disappear. Big ants are eliminated within two applications of a reasonable amount of DE applied to their ant hill. Ants in trash cans can be controlled by either painting DE around the bottom of the trash can or sprinkling it dry around it. They'll go elsewhere, as they do not like walking over DE. Of course, you will need to find their home to completely eliminate them, but it will keep them away from areas you put DE. Sprinkled around the house foundation keeps new crawling insects from coming inside.

Fire ants will need regular application of DE to eliminate them, but if you continue regular applications, it will eliminate the fire ants.

We mix DE with water to paint our fruit tree trunks with it, like a white wash. The DE keeps ants OFF our fruit trees. 1 cup applied to ½ gallon of water works well. Be sure to stir frequently as the DE settles to the bottom. Good as a white wash for wood fencing too.

1 to 2 cups per gallon of water can be used to apply DE in a backpack or hose end sprayer for problem infestations of aphids, fungus problems, mites, etc. DE will turn whatever you paint or spray with it white -- so it may look like a “white” winter at your place.

DE will not destroy earthworms, if applied to the top of the soil in worm farms and the worms are allowed to work it into the soil on their own. It is actually beneficial to the worms and compost just make sure to allow the worms to do the work and not bury them in the DE.

Outdoor Bugs Affected By DE
Ants, aphids, army worms, bed bugs, caterpillars, centipedes, cockroaches, corn borer, corn earworm, cucumber beetles, cut worms, earwigs. fleas, fire ants, flies, fruit flies, Japanese beetles (grub stage), lice, loopers, mites, scorpions, silverfish, slugs, snails, spiders, sting bugs, squash vine borers, ticks, termites, thrips, etc., etc.

Pests that lay eggs may require a second application to catch the hatching eggs.

Mineralization
DE contains 15 trace minerals; calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, copper, zinc iron, phosphorous, selenium, etc. People note better overall health, better production, shinier coats, etc. in their animals who are fed DE regularly.

Fly Control
Used daily, DE helps eliminate our fly population here. Sprinkle DE on livestock when flies are present. Dust barns, coops, after mucking and throw on top of manure/compost piles. We feed it daily to all cats, dogs, fowl and livestock, so it comes out in the manure of each animal as well and prevents flies from growing in the manures.

Farmers hang burlap bags full of DE for the cattle to rub against and keep themselves dusted, which eliminates flies and other pests that land on them.

DE can be put in a backpack sprayer mixed with water to spray your barn or coop buildings. Reapply DE when rain or water washes or wind blows it away.

Grain Storage And Protection
DE is a healthy non-toxic alternative to chemical contamination of stored grain. When the grain is to be used, DE can be easily removed, but need not be. Since it is “food grade”, makes no difference in taste or cooking quality and adds 15 trace minerals. Suggested grain storage use: 1 cup of DE will protect 50 lb of grain -- 5 cups of DE will protect 300 lb of grain -- 7 lb of DE will protect 1500 lb of grain or seeds. One source advises only 1 to 2 lb of DE per ton of grain.

A study done by ACRES, USA, Inc. advised that after 12 months of storage, the DE treated material had 15 insects, compared to 4884 for malathion and 16,994 for untreated grain.

More DE Benefits
DE has been reported in scientific literature to absorb E. coli, endotoxins, drug resides and protein, methyl mercury, organophosphate pesticide residues, viruses (including polio virus), perhaps even the proteinaceous toxins produced by some intestinal infections. DE detoxes.

There are some features about DE that correspond with its ability as both a colon cleanser and a digestive aid. The honeycomb skeletal form of DE is found, under microscopic evaluation to reveal a tendency to become filled and clogged with hard debris such as intestinal scale. DE has not been found to cause any insult to the mucosa or barrier wall.

DE has a negative charge and bacteria has a positive charge, wherein it is believed by some that DE sweeps bacteria out of the body by trapping it in its honeycomb shaped skeletal form.

There is no withdrawal period when given to feed or milking animals. No toxins. Better feed conversion, decreased mastitis, increased milk production.

Why Is Your DE Labeled Food Chemical Codex Grade?
The ONLY kind of DE we sell is labeled "Food Chemical Codex Grade". This is "food" grade DE, though the "chemical" sounds scary, it was labeled that way so that people would realize it isn't just to feed to humans or animals, but so people realize it can be used externally for bed bugs, fleas, flies, mites, ticks and other insect pests in organic farming situations, etc., as it "acts" like a chemical by dehydrating insects, but it is NOT a chemical in the traditional sense of being a pesticide type thing.

Cautions
• DE manufacturers who work in DE mines 5 days/week advise inhaling it is not a problem (tho of course, don't be snuffing it) and we have not had problems when inhaling DE in small amounts. IF you have asthma or some other lung ailment, either wear a mask or be very careful when using DE.
• Do NOT get DE in the eyes. DE is drying to the eyes, so do NOT put it out when you or your pets are down wind of it. DE is drying to your skin, hands and feet, just as it can be to your pets.
• Do NOT use heavily in carpet. Some advise too much DE causes vacuum problems.
• NEVER use pool filter grade or any DE other than those labeled "Food Grade" for yourself or your animals. It can poison or kill them.
• Remember, DE will kill beneficial insects as well, so don't put it on your flowers where the honey bees go and use wisely.
• Some people experience a healing crisis (detox reaction) when beginning DE consumption. If this occurs, reduce the dose, till your body is cleansed and then increase to the RDA.

~ Human Use ~

DE has excellent health benefits for humans. Taken daily, it helps eliminate all intestinal worms and parasites from the body and keeps the bowels clean. DE is also known to sweep some bacteria out of the system, but DE does NOT kill the beneficial bacteria in the gut. Most people who consume DE take it on a daily basis, ourselves, employees and children included. DE contains 15 naturally occurring minerals that are excellent for the body. These minerals promote healthier, shinier hair, nails and skin.

In 1939, the Nobel Prize winner for chemistry, Professor Adolf Butenandt, proved that life cannot exist without silica.

In the 2003 book "Water & Salt" Dr. Barbara Hendel stated: "Silica is the most important trace mineral for human health!"

NOTE: ALL references to DE on this page refer ONLY to FOOD GRADE DE, unless otherwise advised. NEVER use pool filter grade or DE internally or in your home or on your animals, unless it is FOOD GRADE!

DE is a natural powder that works in a purely physical/mechanical manner, not "chemical" and thus has no chemical toxicity. Best yet, parasites don’t build up a tolerance/immunity to its chemical reaction, so rotation of wormers or chemical insecticides is unnecessary. DE has NO odor.

DE is 85% amorphous silica!

Silica is the most plentiful element on earth, following oxygen; but there are very few foods that contain an adequate amount to supply the quantity your body needs. Silica is crucial to blood vessels, bones, cartilage, skin and tendons. Silica is even located in the blood itself and important organs such as the liver, lung and heart. The average human body holds approximately 7 grams of silica, a quantity far exceeding the figures for other important minerals such as iron.

It is as important to provide the body dietary sources of silica early in life as it is during the aging process when silica levels in tissue usually drop off steeply. Silica plays an important role in many body functions. Silica has an exact absolute influence on absorption of all minerals that the body requires to maintain health. It adds to the quality of life!

Silica does not accumulate in the body; it is water soluble, is easily absorbed by the intestinal wall and rapidly excreted, so daily consumption is important. Studies have not found any negative side effects from too much silica.

DE has many health benefits. Years ago the silica in our food was adequate, but with today's hybrids and depleted soils, only about 1/3 of the silica needed is supplied in our food. DE is a simple and inexpensive way to get the silica your body needs. DE contains 85% amorphous silica.

How Does DE Work?
When DE is taken into the body it does its work in 3 different ways:

1. DE looks like a cylinder/honeycomb full of holes. This cylinder/honeycomb has a very strong negative charge. As the millions of cylinders move through the stomach and digestive tract, they attract and absorb bacteria, E. coli, endotoxins, fungi, heavy metals, pesticide and drug residues, protozoa and viruses. These pathogens are trapped inside the cylinder and passed out of the body. Additionally, any larger parasites that happen to be in the stomach or digestive tract are "cut up" and killed by the sharp edges of the DE. All of these activities result in a much healthier body with less sickness. Our clients tell us they feel better, their hair has never been so soft, since taking DE daily, their naturopathic physician muscle tested them for DE and their body has a very strong need for it, they feel better, We often hear the phrase "I just feel better" with our DE users. This better feeling comes from all the "junk" being removed from the body and boosting our immune systems.

2. DE is very hard. On the hardness scale diamonds are a 9, DE is a 7. This is very important, because as those millions of tiny hard and sharp DE cylinders pass through the small and large intestines, they "scrub" the walls (note they do not harm the intestinal wall). After only a few months of taking DE, the intestine wall is no longer coated with gunk, molds and mucus! Thus, DE helps promote regular bowel movements and a healthier colon. A clean healthy colon prevents cancer, polyps, ulcers and continued toxification of the body that a dirty colon produces. This day in age, many people are doing colonix and detox programs, hydro colonic therapy, etc. and DE helps promote this same type of cleansing. People report increased energy, better sleep and/or needing less sleep. This is a result of the food and nutrients that are taken into the body being better absorbed into the blood stream. A coated, toxic colon does not allow many nutrients from our food to be properly absorbed. A toxic colon and intestinal tract can also result in overweight and obesity, as people lack the proper nutrients their body needs to promote optimum health, so they and their pets, continue to eat more food in an attempt to obtain the nutrients their bodies are lacking from being toxic.

3. A small amount of DE is absorbed into the blood stream. As it moves throughout the body they clean and breakup plaque in the blood vessels and also destroy bad fats. Many have lowered their cholesterol by 40-50 points; many notice that their high blood pressure goes down. As the DE eventually dissolves in the blood, the many health benefits of the silica content are realized.

How Do Humans Take DE?
People are always asking me, how to take DE. There is NO one perfect way to take DE. I KNOW you are already disappointed with this fact, as you were hoping there was ONLY ONE "perfect" way to take it (sorry 'bout that). Everyone's' preferences are different. Some people take 1 heaping teaspoon in a glass of water prior to each meal, 3x/day and swear by DE's wonderful health benefits keeping acne away, clean clear skin, better sleep, more energy, stronger hair and nails. Others take a heaping tablespoon just before bedtime, figuring it's best to take it away from food because of its detox benefits. Others take it in the morning in their juice. Still others put it in their morning coffee, protein drink, smoothies, etc. Whether you take DE once/day or 3x/day, everyone reports effectiveness and better health.

"I" take 2 tablespoons of DE daily with a very small amount of water, just enough to make it fluid (like water). I'm not interested in tasting the DE in a full 8 ounce glass of water. I stir it up well and immediately consume before the DE has a chance to settle at the bottom of the glass. I don't care for the taste of DE in my orange juice, but others like DE in their coffee, juice, protein drink, smoothies, etc.

DE doesn't taste bad, nor nearly as horrible as many herbs taste. It tastes like dirt to me (now you're wondering if I run around eating dirt...). Okay, so I do, especially that wonderful rich smelling soil!

Numerous people advise that their iridologist or natural care physicians muscle test them with DE and find that their bodies test VERY strong for it which means they need the DE. Then of course, they ask them what it is and then these natural care professionals contact me for more information about DE.

Many women advise their hair has never been so soft as it is now since taking DE. Others advise of cleaner clear complexions, when previously they had acne trouble. Still others notice an increase in energy levels and others advise it keeps their bowels clean and helps them sleep better.

Many of our DE customers, including myself, had fed DE to their animal companions daily for years. And then one day, we all figured, gee, we're giving this to our furry and feathered family members to help keep them healthy and parasite/worm free, maybe we should take it ourselves and reap the same benefits...not sure why it took so long for the "light bulb" to go on, but at least it finally did.

Some people do notice funny, strange or gross things in their bowel movements. Some choose to look and others don't want to know. Obviously, this is a personal choice for each of us to make, but the bottom line is it is effective in increasing our health status, as removal of internal parasites and worms will allow us to more properly absorb the nutrients from our food, as the parasites/worms will not be eating our food or sucking our blood.

Is DE Safe To Take During Pregnancy?
Yes, DE is excellent for those who are pregnant and not pregnant alike. During pregnancy, it is best to start with a small dose - 1/2 teaspoon daily for the first few days or weeks if needed, making sure to drink plenty of clean fresh pure water (not city tap water) to help sweep toxins out of the body and slowly increase the dose as the pregnant mom-to-be feels fit to do so. This helps prevent a heavy detox by starting out with a heaping tablespoon daily.

Since DE eliminates all intestinal parasites and worms when fed in adequate daily doses, this means the body will better absorb the nutrients from the food the person is consuming as these parasites and worms aren't consuming the nutritional value of the food and sucking the blood, which in turn provides higher quality nutrients to the unborn fetus, making it stronger and healthier as well. Note, DE will not be effective as a natural wormer for the unborn fetus, but can be given in small amounts in bottle feedings once the baby is born.

~ Worming ~

This page addresses how and why we personally use DE 365 days/year.

At least fifty percent of our business is related to worm or parasite overloads in humans and animals OR the results of the chemical wormers that have now poisoned the human or animal and lowered/poisoned their immune system enough to cause disease.

DE And Tapeworms
When we take in feral rescue kittens that have freeways of fleas running around their tiny tummies, we dunk the kittens in a 5 gallon bucket of DE and smother them in it, put it in their litter boxes and dust them with DE twice/week AND I feed the DE internally 1 heaping teaspoon daily for tiny 1 to 2 lb kittens as we KNOW they will have tapeworms. Immediately thereafter and for about 2 weeks, they emit 30 to 40 tiny tape segments on the back of their hind end fur. Little by little, there are fewer and fewer tape segments seen, their pot bellies are gone and their stools are normal. Within 2 to 3 weeks all the adult fleas are gone and no larvae exist.

IF we tried to bathe these feral rescues, they would KILL us and likely never come near a human again. It is our goal to adopt them out, so bathing is not an option. Most people don't want feral cats or kittens, most want friendly, social, healthy ones and the DE really helps us accomplish this painlessly.

We feed whole rabbits we buy from rabbitries that sell to the supermarket butchers to all our canines and felines. Rabbits are natural carriers of tapeworms. Before we began using DE in 1997, I would occassionally see tapes in the canines stools. I did the "messy" Juliette de Bairacli Levy worming - fasting 3 days prior to the full moon - castor oil and antiparasitic herbs and foods. It took care of the tapes, but was a HUGE mess to clean up the diarrhea. Since using DE regularly the past 8 years in everyone's food here, I have never seen a tape segment in anyones stool

DE does need to be fed daily in adequate amounts - at least 30 to 45 days for tape worms and 90 days for lung worms.

Worms Affected By DE
DE eliminates hookworms, pinworms, roundworms and whipworms within 7 days of being fed daily.

We always suggest feeding DE for a minimum of 30 days for hookworms, roundworms or whipworms, due to their life cycle and needing to catch any hatching eggs, as DE does not kill eggs.

Lungworms, including hookworms that have migrated to the lungs for which upper respiratory symptoms would be seen - coughing, nasal discharge, runny eyes, sneezing, etc., take double the recommended daily DE dose for at least 90 days.

Why Feed DE 365 Days A Year?
We use DE daily, 365 days/year for numerous reasons. The animal and human health benefits DE provides are outstanding. DE's ability to eliminate pests such as fleas, flies, etc. makes it an asset to every being's health - animal, human or plant.

Since DE does double duty - inside the gut and then outside in the stool, it makes sense/cents to just feed it 365 days/year. It keeps fly loads down and can help eliminate them completely if fed regularly and used on the grounds, makes stools smell less and sweeps bacteria and heavy metals out of the body. Plus of course, it eliminates internal parasites and worms which will lower feed and vet bills and help prevent disease.

It is our belief that parasites and worms are a major cause of all disease. ALL cancer and other dis-eased patients have worms. Therefore, by feeding DE in adequate quantities daily, we know we have NO worms and therefore at least seventy percent of the chance of getting diseased goes right out the window.

Using DE For Humans
85 to 95% of the human population has worms and these worms are a major contributor to dis-ease. If your doctor said, here, take this chemical/poison wormer you give to your pet, would YOU take it?? If not, WHY on earth would you give it to your beloved companions??

The manufacturers recommended feeding rates for people is 1 heaping tablespoon daily. We take 2 tablespoons daily, simply because the RDA for 100 lb dogs is 2 tablespoons and most of the humans here weigh 130 lb or more. Since DE won't hurt us and we know the DE has to come in contact with parasites/worms to eliminate them, a little more is better than not enough.

I recommend starting with 1 tablespoon daily and increasing as desired, after you are certain you aren't having heavy detox effects from the die off of worms.

Some human clients advise they use DE mixed with water and painted on their skin to eliminate parasites such as helmith parasite infestations, Morgellon's disease, etc. and consume DE daily. Apparently, painting the DE on the skin makes it easier to see the parasite eggs, plus it dehydrates any insects on the skin.

Feeding DE To Horses
If fecal counts are not zero for worms and ova after feeding DE for 30 days, increase the daily dose. Feeding too small a dose of DE will not give desired results. Increasing the dose, even if greater than the manufacturers recommendations, will not harm anyone. Some horses do fine on 1/2 cup of DE daily, others need a full cup. This reminds us, that all beings are different. So again, if the worm and ova counts are not zero, increase your daily dose.

Some advise feeding 1/2 cup daily to most of their horses works great, but there are one or two who still test positive for strongyles. As everyone's immune system is different - age, height, weight, mineral intake, etc., some just need a little more to take care of the problem.

Chemical Wormers And Parvo VS DE
As for traditional wormers...more and more, we are getting breeders who start worming as early as 2 and 4 weeks of age. They worm every 2 weeks and rotate their wormers using Ivomec, Nemex, Panacur, Pyrantel, Safeguard, Strongid...and many puppies then come down with parvo. Many of these puppies wormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age who are now 8 or 9 weeks old and now have parvo, STILL have worm infestations. We believe this is because the worms are developing immunity to the chemical wormers, just as bacteria are becoming resistant to traditional antibiotics. And again, most of these breeders aren't even using the same wormer each time they worm, but using different ones to help prevent the worms from developing immunity. Worms cannot develop immunity to DE as it simply dehydrates those it comes in contact with - period.

Realize, that with our parvo puppy cases and the breeders who are adamant that their puppies have no worms...when based on the sick puppies symptoms, I tell them the puppy has worms, it is impossible to talk the breeder into using DE as they KNOW they wormed their puppies with the chemical wormers and believe the puppies have NO worms. Worms can prevent recovery from parvo. It is not until the breeder actually sees a worm(s) in feces or vomit (some worms you can't even see with the naked eye), that they start to listen, but often this is after they've lost one, two or more puppies  Worms can kill puppies and cause symptoms very similar to parvo or coccidia, so the combination of BOTH parvo and excessive worm loads is even more deadly.

Realize too, once a vet diagnoses parvo, they no longer test the puppy for anything else. If we were to assume that the fecal tests would show the worms, this would make it easier to deal with the worm loads by knowing it is an issue that needs addressing. Also, note, frequently, puppies with parvo that are wormed with chemical wormers die quickly after being given the chemical wormer. Again, this is why we recommend the DE, as we have used it when dealing with wormy parvo puppies and our customers have done so with excellent success. The DE is gentle, but effective enough to be given to a parvo puppy and will not harm the inflamed intestinal mucousa of parvo puppies.

Parvo puppies who have worm infestations and aren't having the normal parvo puppy 4 to 6 bowel movements/day (which 9 times out of 10, if they haven't had a bowel movement for 8 hours, they have worm infestations that can prevent their recovery), we syringe DE mixed with water down their throats, along with the same amount mixed with water via enema to eliminate parasites in the bowel. This helps eliminate the worms without poisoning the puppy (which traditional wormers can do) and helps loosen the worm blockage in the bowel allowing them to have a bowel movement within a few hours. Don't be surprised if you see a bunch of worms in the stool after doing this. The DE works great and doesn't kill the animal and helps hasten their recovery.

When recent traditional worming methods cause dis-ease, chemical (aka poison) wormers must be detoxed from the system as the flood of dying parasites emit toxins, such as ammonia, bacteria, viruses, plus the poison in the wormer can harm and even kill animal, especially those with inflamed intestinal tracts such as parvo puppies.

Puppies are born with hookworms and roundworms, regardless of how free of worms their mother may have been, eggs hatch in the puppies at birth. Tapeworms are contracted if the puppy comes in contact with fleas or rodents.

But My Pet Tested Negative For Worms
I am not sure which is worse - chemical wormers that aren't effective OR the fact that fecal tests that indicate whether or not people or animals have worms are only 20 to 25% accurate!!  As advanced as our medical profession appears to be or tries to tell us they are, WHY on earth can they not tell us with at least 80% accuracy whether or not someone has worms??

Anyways, I gave up on traditional medicine over 15 years ago. I had picked up steamy fresh stools from 4 new rescues early one morning, drove them less than 10 minutes away to my mobile vet who immediately put the samples in her refrigerator. One of the stools belonged to a young wolf rescue who came here scooting her rear end acrossed the ground and another one actually had worms I could see in the stool sample I brought her. The following day, she called me to advise ALL 4 fecals were negative for worms! I found it outrageous that I paid $100 for those samples and I KNEW 2 of the wolf rescues HAD worms, yet the test results came up negative.

The vet made up 60cc's of a liquid concoction of stuff that I was supposed to get down the throats of new wolf rescues who didn't even know me yet?? HAHAHA! Best yet, I needed to do this without getting bit. The vet guessed at what worms they had...anyways, the situation failed miserably, tho I got at least 40 cc's of this stuff into the scooting wolf rescue, but she continued to scoot anyways.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind spending money, but when I spend it, I want "accurate" answers or results. That shouldn't be so hard, should it?

Thus, my non-toxic natural solution has been to simply feed DE, 365 days/year to myself and my 100 animal guardians here. I started that just over 9 years ago and Lady Nikko no longer scoots acrossed her concrete floor!  PLUS, I don't have to "stuff" it down her throat, I just put it in her food, like everyone else and she eats it just fine. And it has always worked fabulously for incoming rescue kittens or puppies/dogs that have diarrhea, some with bloated bellies. Within 48 hours of daily DE consumption, stools are much firmer and pot bellies are eliminated.

How We Feed DE To Sick Pets Or Those With Worm Infestations
Thankfully, natural DE is not a "poison", but a natural method of eliminating parasites by dehydrating them. Since parasites are a major cause of dis-ease in everyone - animals, human and plants, as well as the other great benefits of feeding natural DE, we immediately feed DE to all rescues or client animals (infested or not, as most often they have parasite issues and the DE will help strengthen their immune systems, get them healthier more quickly, detox heavy metals, provide 15 minerals and eliminate any worms they may have). Our DE feeding protocol for worm infestations can be given once or twice per day as follows:

Kittens (below 1 year's old) - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
Cats - 2 teaspoons twice/day
Puppies less than 10 lb - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
Puppies 10 to 19 lb - 2 teaspoons
Dogs 20 to 50 lb - 1 to 1.5 tablespoons
Dogs 50+ lb - 2 tablespoons
Dogs 100+ lb - 3 to 4 tablespoons
Cattle, Dairy Cows and Hogs - 2% of dry feed ration and free choice
Chickens - 5% in feed and free choice
Goats and Sheep - 2 to 3 tablespoons per 100 lb of body weight and free choice
Horses - 1 to 2 cups in daily ration
*Humans - 2 to 3 heaping tablespoons daily (1 tablespoon  AM, 1 tablespoon PM)

For puppies and kittens who are eating on their own, it is really easy to feed them DE by mixing the DE in a small amount of raw goat's milk (or whatever milk you prefer), cottage cheese or yogurt.

Just remember, DE has to come in contact with the bug/parasite/worm to kill it within 24 to 72 hours. Once you start worming with DE, do NOT stop the daily DE for at least 3 weeks. IF you start one day and forget for 3 days, the infestation and dead dying worms which emit ammonia, bacteria, toxins, etc. can cause toxic overload, which can make animals or people sicker.

Once you start worming with DE, remember to feed EVERY day. If you start one day and skip a few days, the build up of dead dying worms can create dis-ease.

Anyways, you can feed too little, but you can't feed too much DE (of course, no one is going to feed a 50 lb bag to a canine, kitten or horse in one day - okay, so there might be someone out there that would try it...). The recommended feeding rates on this page are what the manufacturer recommends. Personally, if I KNOW I'm dealing with an infestation in a new rescue, I ALWAYS feed more than the recommended dose for the first 3 to 4 weeks, because I don't want to have to deal with the dis-ease worm loads can cause, nor the diarrhea, etc.

When we take in tiny feral kitten rescues, they often have freeways of fleas running around their little tummies. IF I attempted to bathe the kittens, they would likely attempt to kill me, which would create undue stress on both of us and then likely they would never come near a human again, which would make it extremely difficult to get them adopted out! A few years ago, I started confining these tiny feral kittens to one room of the house. I dunked their little bodies into a 5 gallon bucket of DE, keeping it out of their eyes and ears, put some DE in their litter box as well (helps to keep it dry and odor free, besides giving them some DE on their legs every time they potty). I dust them with DE twice/week and within 2 to 3 weeks, ALL of the fleas are gone and they do not propagate in the house. I do try to comb them once/week or so, just so I can see how many fleas they still have, but combing tiny feral kittens is difficult and their little armpits, elbows, etc. are nearly impossible to get fleas out of with a comb and they generally don't take to kindly to being turned over on their backs by a strange human.

Since they have fleas, I also feed them a teaspoon of DE in their food each day. They always have lots of tapeworm segments on their hind end fur, following the first day of dosing them with DE and continuing for a week or so thereafter. Recommended feeding rates for 4-5 week old kittens is only 1/2 teaspoon, but since they are infested with fleas, I know they will be infested with tapeworms, so I increase the dose to 1 teaspoon, sometimes just a bit more to make sure it is effective.

Healthy animals rarely succumb to disease, illness or bad behaviors. When they do, they bounce back quicker than unhealthy animals. They get plenty of exercise, sunshine, love, tender loving care, natural rearing foods that are biologically appropriate to the specific animal, clean environments, mental exercise in the way of proper, appropriate training and avoidance of toxins. They have jobs to keep them busy, whether watching the house while we are gone or making sure the couch or cats don't get eaten while we are away. They are part of our family. Often, they are better than a few humans in our immediate family and deserve the BEST possible health care we can give them.

~ Mites, Insects And Morgellon's Disease ~

DE is excellent to help eliminate mite infestations on humans, pets, plants and in the home and yard. Some people have suffered from these mite infestations for over 10 years without effective treatments from physicians and chemical treatments. If you are one of these people that has suffered from mite, other bug/parasite infestations or Morgellon's disease please read the following and gain back your sanity and healthful life.

DE is a natural powder that works in a purely physical/mechanical manner, not chemical and thus has no chemical toxicity. Best yet, parasites don't build up a tolerance/immunity to its chemical reaction, so rotation of wormers or chemical insecticides is unnecessary AND DE has NO odor.

If you are dealing with a bug or mite infestation in your home, it is essential to treat the affected people, pets and household all at the same time. Lightly sprinkle DE in household carpet, along floor baseboards, in pet bedding, under furniture, beneath couch and chair cushions, in closets, etc. Leave for 2-3+ days, then vacuum. Reapply regularly for the first month for severe infestations, as the parasite eggs hatch 10 days to 3 weeks after being laid by the host, so it is essential to keep up regular treatment to completely eliminate the infestation. Please do not get heavy handed with the DE in your carpet, as I have heard from one lady advising it causes problems with their vacuum when applied excessively.

Bed mites or bugs can be smothered with DE, by putting a plastic cover over your mattress, after lightly covering the mattress with DE and then zipping up the plastic cover and leaving it closed up for a few weeks.

Wash ALL clothing, bedding and linens in hot water, preferably leaving these items in the hot water for 30 minutes.

Bugs Affected By DE
Ants, aphids, army worms, bed bugs, caterpillars, centipedes, cockroaches, corn borer, corn earworm, cucumber beetles, cut worms, earwigs. fleas, fire ants, flies, fruit flies, Japanese beetles (grub stage), lice, loopers, mites, scorpions, silverfish, slugs, snails, spiders, sting bugs, squash vine borers, ticks, termites, thrips, etc., etc.

A study done by ACRES, USA, Inc. advised that after 12 months of grain storage, the DE treated material had 15 insects, compared to 4884 for malathion and 16,994 for untreated grain.

Why Do I Have Mites?
Many people advise that they are the only ones in their household affected by a mite infestation. Their spouse and/or children are not affected or bothered by the mites, yet the mites are literally eating them alive. Some people advise they get a little relief from the itching and biting when they go to a friend's home, though the mites don't disappear while they are visiting their friend and the mites are NOT bothering the friend(s). WHY don't the mites bother everyone in the household?

Mites are on all of us; people, pets, plants, etc. We don't usually see them and most of us are not affected by them as we have reasonably strong, healthy immune systems. When our immune system is low, this gives way for the mites to take over and attempt to ruin our lives and make us miserable. Just as fleas prey on less healthy animals and mountain lions prey on the weaker, young or less healthy animals and mites or borers prey on the trees and plants that are not as strong as they should be; mites prey on those of us who are not strong enough to fight them off.

For this reason, it is always important to boost the immune system of the being when dealing with any dis-ease - cancers, diabetes, parasite infestations, etc. There are many ways to help boost the immune system such as:

• Consume species appropriate nutrition. For people, this means forget the junk food and eat real food, plenty of fruits and veggies daily. Consider natural mineral supplementation in the form of chlorella, kelp, spirulina, etc.
• Eliminate internal worms and parasites by taking DE every day. This will help your body maximize the absorption from the nutrition you are eating, if worms are not sucking your blood and robbing you of the nutrients in your daily food.
• Get plenty of good daily exercise.

Things you can try to make you taste yucky to mites or other parasites:

• Consume 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water, 3x/day.
• Consume raw garlic daily.

Other natural ways to kill mites:

Try 1/2 cup of olive oil, mixed with 15 to 20 drops of each of the following essential oils:
Tea tree (anti-parasitic, antimicrobial)
Lavender (soothing, healing, antiseptic)
Cloves (anti-parasitic, kills parasite eggs, antimicrobial)

Rub this mixture into a small area of your skin that is bothered by mites. Test it in a small area to make sure you do not have an allergic reaction. If you are fine and you notice relief in that area, than apply a larger amount to a larger area of skin. This will smother the mites.

Try the same mixture above without the olive oil and use 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar. This can also be used to rinse your hair after washing, though do not completely rinse your hair clean with water or the antiparasite effects will be lost.

Mayonnaise by itself or mixed with a few drops of the above essential oils is good for mites or lice in the hair. Leave it on for a good half hour, then rinse well.

How Long Will It Take To Get Rid Of Mites?
Every situation is a bit different, so giving a definitive time frame can be difficult. IF you start treating everything, your home, environment, yard, clothing, etc. ALL at the same time and continue for 3 to 4 weeks and are diligent, your mite infestation should be completely eliminated within 3 to 4 weeks.

IF, however, you do not treat everything at the same time, the task of eliminating them will become a constant nightmare and chore, as eggs will continue to hatch and infest you, your home, yard, automobile, etc.

For some, it is relatively simple to just dust the DE all over the household, consume it, dust or paint themselves with it and immediately they notice they aren't itching as much. We do not recommend letting up with your mite elimination program, until you have completed 3 to 4 weeks of treatment, simply because you don't want them to return in greater numbers and drive you to insanity (which you are likely feeling already). Additionally, this is why it is VERY beneficial to work at boosting your immune system as well, so that the normal, everyday mites that inhabit all of our homes and yards are not troublesome to you anymore.

What Are Mites?
Information about; bed mite, bird mites, chiggers, clove mites, dust mites, itch mites, grain mite, harvest mite, house mite, lice, mites, mold mite, scabies, straw itch mites, tropical rat mite and other household pests can be found on this page.

IF you have fiber like material coming out of your skin, sores, intense itching, your hair is falling out, etc., you may have Morgellon's disease. In doing a Google search for "Morgellons disease" a bunch of websites come up offering "cures". Some costing $200 others costing $1500. I do not know if any of these solutions work, as I get the calls from Morgellon's people who have not been helped with traditional medicine and they are continuing to search for a way to heal themselves and their families.

Many people affected by Morgellon's disease have been told by their physicians that they need to see a psychiatrist, as their problem is all in their head. Please note, these physicians have been known to stand 3 feet away from the affected patient, even when requesting the doctor look at the parasites that can be seen moving beneath the patient's skin. WHY are these physicians afraid to touch or come close to these people? Morgellons IS a REAL disease, it is NOT imagined.

We presently have a number Morgellon's disease affected customers. They purchase 50 lb bags of DE to consume orally, to apply in their households and to paint their bodies with, as recommended by their doctors. By itself, the DE will not cure Morgellons, though it does help with the parasite infestation.

Please note, most of our Morgellons affected people advise their symptoms are worse around the full moon. This is indicative of a parasite/worm infestation, as worms are more active in the tissues of the body during the full moon. It is my belief that daily consumption of DE helps considerably. Start with small amounts of DE to help prevent detox/herxheimer effects and build up to at least 2 heaping tablespoons daily.

Heat also makes these parasites more active and they can be seen crawling beneath the skin on affected people, as well as exit the body through the skin.

Due to the overload of these parasites in the body, they can create infection - bacteria, fungal, viral likely due to the fact they emit toxins into the system and excrete waste into the body. A good, preferably natural antibiotic will help with these infections. Consider colloidal silver (make it yourself to save on money) or Viparabac Plus.

Due to the excessive stress this disease causes, sufficient intake of quality vitamins and minerals will help prevent hair loss. Supplements such as organic kelp, spirulina, etc. would help restore the mineral loss consumed by these worms/parasites. Of course, a really good natural diet will help as well, preferably one that contains at least 50% raw vegetables and fruits.

Further note, likely Morgellons is NOT just a worm/parasite infestation. Fibers come out of the skin in the face, neck and everywhere else on the body on a DAILY basis. These fibers can be black, blue, red and white, some like hair strands or wire, others fuzzy. Some advise this comes from cotton, others say chemtrails.

Our DE And Mite Experience
EVERY Spring, we used to have one or two chickens that would get mites, while the other forty something were just fine. As always, I would procrastinate hunting the mite infested chickens down, until they had lost a good 1/3rd of their feathers. Then, I FINALLY chased down the nearly featherless chicken(s), turned them upside down and smothered them in DE. I turned them right side up and thoroughly applied the DE to their top feathers, neck, head, etc. and THEN, I mucked the coops and cleaned out the nesting boxes. Then I applied DE thoroughly to the coop grounds and in the nesting boxes...they NEVER needed a second treatment and their feathers started to grow back immediately.

I wised up in 2001 and just keep DE in all the nesting boxes and on the coop floors (this helps eliminate flies, especially from the chickens, guineas, peafowl and roosters that are roosting on limbs at night, as their manure just drops into the 1/4" thick DE on the ground). Baby chicks hatch and leap out of the nesting boxes into the layer of DE and stay healthy and well. This means, I haven't had to hunt down any chickens or fowl to dust them with DE since 2000 Life is grand when you have DE at hand and the animals stay healthier.

~ Fly Control ~

DE is an excellent natural way to help control and eliminate flies. Many of us use it largely for fly control purposes. To use DE to lower and eliminate fly infestations, you need to do the following:

1. Feed DE daily to ALL of your animals - livestock - alpacas, chickens, cows, llamas, goats, guineas, hogs, horses, sheep, pigs and pets - kittens, cats, puppies, dogs, canaries, ferrets, parrots, etc. Since DE is a drying agent, it lowers manure odor which consequently makes your property less hospitable to flies and other pesky insects.
2. Apply DE on compost and manure piles regularly. Again, DE lowers odor, dries out the manure making it less fly friendly, dehydrates flies that come in contact with it and doesn't make good breeding grounds for flies to lay larvae.
3. Keep DE on the floors of barns, stalls, chicken and fowl coops, as well as nesting boxes.
4. Many people put DE in ginny sack bags for horses and livestock to rub up against, coating themselves in it so that flies that land on them will soon be dehydrated. This also works excellent at preventing or eliminating lice, mites, etc.
5. Keep DE on fresh manure, wet spots, etc. daily.
6. Apply on moist soil areas around dog kennels.
7. If you see breeding flies on manure or other areas, quickly apply DE to the affected area, so they are at least lightly covered, if not heavily covered. This will swiftly dehydrate the tiny flies nearly instantly and the flies that fly away covered in DE will dehydrate within 24 to 72 hours.
8. Be careful NOT to apply DE to flowers and areas where beneficial insects (bees, lady bugs, praying mantis, etc.) frequent. These wonderful beneficial insects are becoming extinct already, due to traditional toxic pesticides.
9. It is best to start DE applications early in the fly season to increase the chances of having zero fly loads around your home and animals. Though, the application of DE at any time during the fly/insect season will still produce noticeable results and is definitely better than never applying it at all.

Feeding DE internally AND treating external areas - barns, bird coops, manure piles, etc. at the same time will lower the fly population quickly.

I have really sensitive skin that get really red sometimes and super bumpy. My dermatologist have been giving me several face creams but they all seem to make my face more red and irritated. This is so far the only product that I've put on my face that does not irritate my face, but instead soothes it. The redness goes away as soon as the toner dries and it feels nice on my skin. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin!

Let me add my voice in praise of this toner. My skin seems to love it so far. And I'm enjoying the cucumber scent....so much better than the natural scent of witch hazel. I usually prefer alcohol-based witch hazels (I've used Dickinson's off and on for years). It's only 14% alcohol and is quite nice but this Cucumber one may top it.

I get acne and blackheads on my forehead, nose, and chin and I have very sensitive skin. I tried everything, including clinique products and proactiv. I use the cucumber witch hazel every morning and night on the areas where I get acne and I have not had a single pimple or blackhead since. I can also use it on my cheeks to balance my skin. It does not dry out your skin or make you flake. It's amazing! I would highly highly highly recommend this to anyone who has any kind of acne. However, you have to like the smell of cucumbers, because its a pretty strong smell.

About a year and a half ago, I read about non-alcohol witch hazel by Thayer's. I purchased a bottle of the variety with cucumber in it, and used it daily on my face, especially on my undereye area which is chronically puffy in the spring and into the summer from allergies. About a month or so after using it, I was asked by my daughter and husband about what I was doing to make my skin so nice.

I am now about to finish my third bottle of this toner/astringent and have just ordered a fourth bottle. It is a wonderful toner. I had been using witch hazel with alcohol and while it worked fine, this product relieves my puffy eyes, helps to clarify my skin, and is a permanent part of my skincare routine. I use it each morning and at night only if I've had to remove makeup to make sure that any traces of cosmetics are fully gone from my skin. There is no burning, stinging, or smell. There is aloe vera in it so if you are sensitive to this plant extract, please do not even go near this product. But I think that, for me, the aloe is part of the wonderful results I've received from using this toner.

I give this product 5 lippies because it has worked so well and consistently to improve my skin tone and texture and to soothe those puffy undereyes (to the point where I no longer need to use the Bliss Baggage Handler Eye Gel).

Love the cucumber scent of this! Very refreshing and cooling after a day out working on the garden or at the beach. I don't think the toner is doing anything to make my under eyes look rested but I do remember my mom slicing up cucumbers and putting them over her eyes and face to calm things down. Strangers routinely mistake my grandmother for 15-20 yrs younger than her age. She has used witch hazel as a toner all her life, and highly recommends it. Although I tried several other brands of witch hazel in the past, I was frustrated that it seemed to irritate my skin. Then I read that some people react to the alcohol found in most preparations. I searched Google for an alcohol-free witch hazel and found this. On the first use, I noticed that it felt refreshing and smelled pleasant. Over a few months use, I noticed the texture of my skin improved. Maybe this is the soothing properties of the aloe and lavender, or maybe it's just that my skin is less irritated because it's cleaner. Anyway, this works better than the (much!) more expensive brands I used to use (Clinique, Kiehl's, Origins). I know I'll be buying it for many years to come!

I have the most sensitive skin in the world. I haven't been able to find anything that won't break me out. I thought I would try this after reading the reviews. Awesome! It is a great facial toner, I use it day and night, and is a soothing refresher during the days you don't wear makeup. The lavender enhances the quality with it's nice scent and it is healing also.

I hate to pay so much for a brand, but this is good. No other brand have I seen that is safe for your eyes. Extremely gentle, and safe to soak your eyes (via cotton ball/swab). I have the other brand that's 100+ yrs old too, but it is not gentle enough for eyes. You wouldn't be reading this if the $1 bigBox store version with 14% alcohol was what you wanted. Just so you know the alcohol is a preservative for the witch hazel. Thayers preserves this formula using other natural ingredients. Also found this to be moisturizing.

Alcohol-free witch hazel, where have you been all my life? This is just the greatest toner for my combination skin. It gently tones skin and adds a hint of hydration. Contains aloe vera, glycerin, lavender flower water and vitamin e. Witch hazel, sans alcohol, is awesome for diminishing the signs of thread veins and redness. The lavender scent is soft and powdery, almost like you would expect to smell in an old-fashioned pomander.But hey, the scent does not linger and I can deal with it. I recently moved from Washington to Montana. My skin was not pleased. Going from somewhere with humidity to somewhere as dry and windy as the desert made my skin begin breaking out. I had to cut back on washing my face to once every other day using Cetaphil and was still experiencing drying. I had to apply moisturizer two or three times daily to trouble spots while still experiencing an oily forehead and breaking out everywhere. I tried the Lavender Witch Hazel on a whim and have been extremely pleased with the results. I use it in the morning after my shower and in the evening before I go to bed and can see the oil and dirt it removes. It also moisturizes and has evened out my skin remarkably in the weeks I've been using it. The smell is pleasant without being overpowering.

I expected this to still have a slight witch hazel smell but there is no trace of it at all! I've used Dickinson's before but the smell became harder and harder to tolerate. This one is better in soooo many ways, not only can I tolerate the smell but it smells good. It smells like the Huggies line of lavender scented baby washes. It tightens up my pores and the aloe moisturizes it perfectly. I love that it's alcohol free and I can use it to control oil throughout the day. I used this after a peel with no irritation whatsoever! I'm completely sold!

I am currently using Retin-A and salicylic acid cleanser. These two products definitely makes my skin irritated. This toner is almost a god-send. I use this twice a day after cleansing, with a cotton pad, followed with hydrating serum and moisturizer. Is it a miracle product that will smooth away wrinkles and cure acne overnight? No. However, it really helps calm my skin from the dryness and purging of acne while I'm going through such an intense regimen, without worrying about pores getting clogged up. The ingredient list is simple, with great ingredients like aloe, grapefruit seed extract and vitamin E that can benefit skin in the long run. And of course, the witch hazel. I believe this is the best drugstore toner out there.

My skin is more even toned and retains moisture better. This has also eliminated those little clogged pores that I have been getting from using the very intense DDF RMX anti-aging treatment line. I don't think I would be able to continue that important wrinkle inhibiting line without this toner because the little clogged pores were starting to get out of hand. Witch hazel has also been noted to contsrict facial capillaries and vericose veins. I have a few tiny facial capillaries that get inflamed and noticeable when aggravated particularly by alcohol. This product calms everything down.

Very pleased with Thayers overall, but this toner is by far my favorite. It's light and soothing, especially on fussy skin - I put this into a small spray bottle and mist over my face before applying lotion, or spray onto my scalp when it itches. Feels cooling and healthy, and I can't get enough of the scent. If Thayers ever decided to market the fragrance of this product as a perfume, I'd be the first in line to snap it up.

What a great product! Surprisingly effective product that I ever came across with. I was having massive break-outs in the middle of winter (not sure what was wrong) and I decided to give this try. When I first tried this product, I felt slight burn in my face, but it soon calmed and my face started liking it. I have been using this for 3 weeks now, and I am seeing absolute changes in my face. I am back to barely break-outs, and my oily face is getting a bit more matt. The best result is that my pores on nose, around nose are Indeed getting smaller! It seems almost like a magic! I don't care the cheap packaging since what matters is that it works great and one bottle will last forever... Very reasonable price too.
I Will definitely recommend to those people who have large pores and oily face. And even if it feels a bit burning at first, don't stop using it because your face will learn to calm down.

This product is excellent! I have dry sensitive skin and this feels very soothing and moisturizing when I apply. Normally toners make my face feel very dry and tight. I have tried a lot of high end toners and the best I found was Shiseido Benefiance. However, it was really expensive and was not half as nice as this one. This product is really affordable too.

I have fair sensitive/acne-prone skin. This is the BEST toner I've ever bought, period. I've been using it for a week and it has eliminated all the red splotchiness in my skin, as well as help lighten some old marks from spots I picked at. Oooooh and it doesn't burn my eyes!! I love this toner! I never realized how much alcohol in my toner and other products kept my skin irritated and I believe more acne prone. I am about half way through my first (huge) bottle and I use it to make sure I get every trace of makeup and cleanser off my skin. I've been using this stuff for years. I love it and have no complaints. My Grandmother used with hazel as an astringent her entire life and had lovely skin until the day she passed away. I have a very dry and extreme acne-prone skin. Any moisturizer that I put on my face, even it says non-comedogenic, my pores would still clog and eventually acne develops. I decided to let my skin go dry rather than put on moisturizer and get clogged pores until I found Thayers Alcohol Free Witch Hazel. The one I'm using is the Rose Petal. It smells great, and especially very moisturizing. I don't moisturize my face with anything else. What I've been doing is to put it in a sprayer bottle and spray it on my face. It will be wet on your face, but takes only a minute to absorb to the skin. You might require to do it couple times through out a day, but for a clogged-pore prone skin like mine. It's worth it! I hope I could help someone out there by giving you this tip 'cause I used to be so desperate!

Not a single complaint about this product. My skin tone is more even than I can ever remember it being, and my perpetually blackhead-covered nose is actually beginning to clear up. I've still got blackheads, but they are much smaller, and there are actually areas that are totally clear. Unbelievable. Love the way this stuff smells, reminds me of some vague childhood memory. Even if you don't like the way it smells, it doesn't linger at all so I don't see how it bothers some people so much.

Fantastic price for a product of this quality, by the way. I'd shell out 25 bucks for this if I had to.

AMAZING product. I have struggled with adult breakouts for a number of years now and have tried a different products including Proactive. Nothing has given me the results I am getting with Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel. I have been using it 2x a day for the past month or so and my skin is BEAUTIFUL as a result. My breakouts have pretty much stopped, I do not get that end of the day icky oily forehead and my skin tone has evened out. I love the small touches that you've put into your service..no wonder you are such a great seller...we especially enjoyed the candies!! You should definitely sell those as well and as for the products..from what we've tried...it is all mostly good products but our household favourite would be the rose toner and the nubian heritage black soap..the coconut vanilla soap havent been tried yet but if from the looks and the smell using it might just be a great future experience the argan oil that you've given as sample is also one the best out of all the products i've brought. The thayers toners are just great cool and moisturizing. My peeling dry skin now peels no more!! Though next time im definitely buying the rose one...for the sake of the smell! As promised, I'm giving you my reviews for the rest of the products I purchased from you.

1) 100% Argan Oil 10ml

- I use this oil on my thighs and face to get rid of scars. And I must say its the ONLY thing I've used that really works on scars. And I have really ugly ones on my thighs and face. It works pretty fast but must consistently apply it every day for best results. I'm actually running out of it already, so I'll be ordering bigger sizes soon.

2) Nubian Heritage Black African Soap

- I'm no stranger to natural soaps, I've been using them for quite some time now. In fact, when I purchased this soap, I have two bars of natural soap already. But the moment I tried this soap, I forgot about my two other soaps. This soap smells so unique, and it makes me feel clean so easily. I didn't like the oat bits at first coz it feels 'bumpy' and hard against my skin but after a while I realize it helps exfoliate my skin and keep it looking brand new. A little tip: Don't lather it in your hands, rub the soap bar all over your body for the ultimate 'spa' results. Another tip: Remove make-up with extra virgin olive oil and cleanse your face right away with this soap for glowing, youthful skin. It lasts very long too. I'll be using this soap exclusively from now on, right after I finish up my old soaps.

3) Thayers Alcohol free toners - Cucumber witch hazel & aloe vera

- This stuff is magic. I have oily skin that breaks out sometimes, which I wash with an all natural powder cleanser. The cleanser works terrific, but I needed an extra something to keep my oily skin fresh. This toner was the answer. I use it whenever my skin needs a perk-me-up as well as daily, right after cleansing. No more oily skin thanks to this. My skin feels like normal skin for the first time ever!

Somehow the soap reminds me of Moto Moto, the chunky and dark hippo from the animated film "Madagascar", this soap IS dark and chunky..... and as for its effects on your skin, my wife's testimony is positive as her clogged pores on her legs subsided with daily use of the soap. This soap turned out to be all that it promised and more! The perfume is just divine. The texture and lather is wonderful against your skin. The fine texture of the seeds works very well as a gentle exfoliater. I am very pleased with my purchase and keen to try others in the range.

The scent is very carroty which I LOVE, but also very gentle, not strong at all. The exfoliating pomegranate bits are also very gentle. It doesn't irritate my hands no matter how many times a day I wash them. It also gives a lot of luxurious looking lather. I don't think I will ever want to use another soap - I already ordered 10 more so I won't run out.

Once you get past the amazingly delicious smell, you have a wonderful soap. It lathers beautifully, leaving skin smooth and moisturized. It's wonderful for shaving. It also has pieces of coconut husk in it for exfoliation. I don't think I've ever used a soap that combined good exfoliation with such a moisturizing lather. I love it. Plus, it will make your bathroom smell wonderfully.

Okay so I was a bit skeptical about this product (although i ordered four lol), I wanted to lighten dark marks on my skin, not lighten my skin. I saw a lot of other products like likas or other papaya soaps for skin lightening which is NOT what I wanted. I am brown-skinned and i have dry skin often...also i am vegetarian, and most soaps and body washes out there have animal shortening or fat, or whatever in them. This soap is great, and it leaves your skin soft, and it is made only from natural ingredients NO LIE. In the beginning it may seem a little dull on your skin, but give it some time, good results don't display overnight. good luck, try it!

I'm no stranger to natural soaps and this is one of the better ones I've tried. The smell is heavenly, not too overpowering and the suds, rich and luxurious. This is a great multi-purpose soap and I use it on my body, face and hair too. Doesn't dry the skin and the plus point is that it does not melt easily. This is one of the better NH soaps where they don't use iron oxides/ mineral pigments, which IMO, is unnecessary.

This is one of the best soaps I have ever used! I never imagined African soap could be so good. I'm Hispanic and always wondered what was the big deal about Nubian soaps.I'm glad I gave it a try, because I suffer from very dry skin and this soap is so creamy and lathers beautifully.

I've been using this soap for 2-1/2 weeks now and have had visible improvement in the clarity and texture of my skin. My enlarged pores are less noticeable and my skin just has a healthier brighter look. Anyway, I hate to sound like a lame commercial but it's definitely good soap.

Ever since I received this soap, I started to take longer showers than usual because of the smell. Combination of coconut and vanilla smell is lovely but sadly the smell does not linger on the body for long after I am done showering. Brighter skin is definitely I have experienced with this soap and squeaky clean feeling is another. I use it on my face too and there is a noticeable difference in the skin texture.WILL DEFINITELY BUY IT AGAIN.

This has a rather strong but delicious coconut-vanilla scent that fills the bathroom yet only lingers very faintly on skin. I found this soap very gentle even during winter and easy to rinse off (it's important to be able to shower quickly to avoid further drying the skin). The bar is huge and never got slimy so it lasted me about six months in everyday use.

I love how clean my skin feels after using this soap! It has balanced out my combination skin AND when I use this soap along with the same Shea Butter Black Seed Oil....the darker spots from old acne begins to fade away. I will Always use this soap on my face!! Its better than expensive liquid soaps that dermatoligists recommend for sensitive and acne prone skin. Even though it washes effectively, it doesn't dry out my skin. Haven't feel the need for skin toners after washing, just moisturizer. I use it in the shower as well and love the rich lather! NH bar soaps are the best I've used! The scent is strong, which didn't come as a surprise, but it grows on you and for some reason it doesn't bother me even though I'm somewhat sensitive to strong smells. Love the ingredients!

I have recently been dealing with eczema and trying to help my skin in anyway I can - some soaps can really irritate it but this one is great - it feels soothing and like it may be helping a bit in the healing process. My skin has been considerably better since using this soap. I also have the Shea Butter with Lavender and Wild Flowers. Both of them moisturize well, but this one is a bit better IMO. I love the scent and the fluffy billows of lather. A great soap from a great company. I will continue to repurchase. Edit: I was using Dr. Bronners Lavender and it left my cheeks dry, even with lotion. I switched back to this soap and in 3 days my cheeks were back to being soft and supple. This soap rocks!

I didn't expect to be this impressed! First of all the scent is delicious. Also, I love the rich creamy lather it gives. It's best using in shower for me, even though I can also wash my face which is prone to dryness and highly sensitive. The soap bar seems to last well, and the best part (aside the top ingredients!) is that it stays firm and doesn't make a mess in my soap holder!

I really enjoyed this soap bar. The fresh Mango Scent is light and lasts all day without you noticing it's there! I live in hard water country and suds are a rare thing when showering here. Not with this soap brand. You'll be covered with wonderful lather AND rinses off quickly unlike some other brands in the store that feel slimy when showering off. I highly recommend this bar, in fact, it will be a main stay for here on out!

My husband started having red spots on his back and as I recalled they also itched. Dermatologist told him it looked like an allergic reaction to the soap he was using. Nubian Heritage makes some of the best organic soaps I have ever used. Lots of lather, and mild cleansers make them perfect for dry or sensitive skin. The Olive and Green Tea scent is refreshing and slightly sweet but not overpowering. One of my favorites.

I've gone through a number of more and less organic shower gels and soaps and Nubian Herigate has become my favourite. They're quite gentle, rinse out easily and last a good two to three months' daily use. I only use soap bars. Olive & Green Tea has a light scent compared to many others I've tried from this brand.

This soap exceeds my expectations! I have only tried 2 of the soaps made by NH and so far I am extremely pleased. This shea butter soap is very moisterizing and the scent is heavenly. It's not overly floral so even men can use it. Really make my skin soft and after a few weeks I can see that my skin looks younger.

I like the flowers blended into the soap - they don't drop off immediately like a lot of them do with such soaps. It seems long-lasting and has a great aroma. I have ordered more from the same range with different scents already.

I looovvveee this soap. I have it at my kitchen sink. I can have quite dry hands as I seldom remember to wear my rubber gloves. When you use this soap it makes a gentle, creamy lather and when you rinse it off, it doesn't leave a residue on your hands just a beautiful smell and I would say moisturised hands! Will def buy again.

Ayna here..sorry for a long absence...have been soo busy with exams and i would like to get back to you on your products we love the fast n prompt services,the way u indually wrapped everything is just soo attentive and great. I love the small touches that you've put into your service..no wonder you are such a great seller...we especially enjoyed the candies!! You should definitely sell those as well and as for the products..from what we've tried...it is all mostly good products but our household favourite would be the rose toner and the nubian heritage black soap..the coconut vanilla soap havent been tried yet but if from the looks and the smell using it might just be a great future experience the argan oil that you've given as sample is also one the best out of all the products i've brought. The thayers toners are just great cool and moisturizing. My peeling dry skin now peels no more!! Though next time im definitely buying the rose one...for the sake of the smell! Haha. anyways love love love the products and definitely gonna buy more from you! Oh, and the crazy lip rumors lipbalm!!! Awesomeeeee!! Chapped lips? gone the next day and my dark lips somehow seems lighter in shades now...and the flavour...creamy-liciouss!

As promised, I'm giving you my reviews for the rest of the products I purchased from you.

1) 100% Argan Oil 10ml

- I use this oil on my thighs and face to get rid of scars. And I must say its the ONLY thing I've used that really works on scars. And I have really ugly ones on my thighs and face. It works pretty fast but must consistently apply it every day for best results. I'm actually running out of it already, so I'll be ordering bigger sizes soon.

2) Nubian Heritage Black African Soap

- I'm no stranger to natural soaps, I've been using them for quite some time now. In fact, when I purchased this soap, I have two bars of natural soap already. But the moment I tried this soap, I forgot about my two other soaps. This soap smells so unique, and it makes me feel clean so easily. I didn't like the oat bits at first coz it feels 'bumpy' and hard against my skin but after a while I realize it helps exfoliate my skin and keep it looking brand new. A little tip: Don't lather it in your hands, rub the soap bar all over your body for the ultimate 'spa' results. Another tip: Remove make-up with extra virgin olive oil and cleanse your face right away with this soap for glowing, youthful skin. It lasts very long too. I'll be using this soap exclusively from now on, right after I finish up my old soaps.

3) Thayers Alcohol free toners - Cucumber witch hazel & aloe vera

- This stuff is magic. I have oily skin that breaks out sometimes, which I wash with an all natural powder cleanser. The cleanser works terrific, but I needed an extra something to keep my oily skin fresh. This toner was the answer. I use it whenever my skin needs a perk-me-up as well as daily, right after cleansing. No more oily skin thanks to this. My skin feels like normal skin for the first time ever!

btw, actually it has been in my mind for quite a long time to write a review about argan oil and the african bar soap!!!

so far, I've tried 3 types of the african soap, I like them all, but I definitely falling in love with black african black soap the most! (So far)...haha.. and bcoz I love it too much, I'm not yet try the kiss my face olive soap. hehehe~ but will do eventually soon. haha..

and the argan oil...surely the best product so far.... well, I'm so sorry that I still can;t get the details feedback from my dad.what can I say, he's a busy men, and i'm busy as well.. teehee... but i can only say that, he's really loving it...I've told u that my mom asked me to buy it for him so that he can applies it to his allergy area..so I thought he will just use it whenever he got the allergy reaction or maybe itching on certain area. but he actually wear it everyday..everytime after bath..sort of like a perfume, which he'll wear everytime after bath and before going out... and more surprisingly, he actually use it on his face and beard... hahaha.. well, he sort of like put the oil few drops on his palm put it roughly like a hair gel on his face and beard.. so I guess he liking it...

btw...will try to write a review as soon as I can find a spare time.

and the Nubian Heritage so far is quite good. I mean, looking at my super sensitive skin, using it without any negative effect is quite good already. Meaning my skin can accept it. And so far, I've tried 2 types of the nubian. the honey one, and the goat's milk. I cut both into small piece just enough for me to try for 2 weeks-1 month since I still not sure which one is more suitable for me. but so far both is quite good for my skin. so yeah...will sure inform u for any further development. haha. experimenting now. and this is what i like about natural product. u dont feel bad to experimenting and shift from 1 type to another type since it's chemical free so it doesn't really harm ur skin.

maybe after this I'm gonna choose 1 and try use it for 4 weeks like the recommendation and see how it goes.

I started using Kiss My Face when I noticed my first facial wrinkle. All the relatives on my mother's side of the family suffer from pre-mature aging. Because I had very oily skin, I was very skeptical about using it, due to its being made from olive oil. I was totally amazed when I discovered that it actually removed the excess oil from my face and kept it oil-free 24 hours a day. Perhaps because I was adding moisture, it kept my pores from producing excess oil to compensate for lack of moisture. I would estimate that I have used this soap for close to 20 years. We have been trying for months to treat my daughter's eczema naturally, but finally had to go to the doctor to get a steroid. hi there. I've been using the soap for 2 months now, and I'm quite happy with it.

What I like about it is that the ingredients are very straightforward; it's not chock full of different chemicals with obscure names. furthermore it's not tested on animals.
I have some scars on my arms and legs due to rashes recently, and it has faded a little now. I used the soap and applied Vit E cream so I guess both contributed to this.

the only drawback is the smell of the soap, since it doesn't have any fragrances. but I quickly got used to it

I'm writing in about the KMF Olive Oil soap.

I have been using the KMF Olive Oil soap for a while now, and I am very happy with it. After cleansing with it, I apply the Argan Oil and both are working very well together.

I have yet to try the NH African Black soap because my KMF soap is still usable. I have my pimples under control now.

I have been looking for a reasonably priced liquid soap without SLS and other chemicals and I have decided Dr. Woods is the one I will order again. My husband and I both like the smell and even though it is a little thinner than some liquid soaps, it is not watery.

My husband loves this soap! It lathers well and smells like marzipan. It rinses clean although my husband swears he feels his skin is moisturized after using it. I think it is a great product, not as harsh as Dr. Bonner's and it certainly has a more pleasant fragrance. I'm glad we finally gave up the messy bar soap after finding this wonderful soap.

I've been using this for a long time. It smells wonderful, lathers and cleans well. I use it as a shampoo as well. I don't think I've bought shampoo in years. No reason to pay considerably more for Dr. Bronner. Dr. Woods uses very high-quality ingredients and it shows. Dr. Bronner Almond feels thinner in comparison but not weaker.

I am addicted to this gorgeous aroma. The soap feels great on my skin and is very gentle without upsetting the delicate pH balance. I decant into smaller bottles and take it to work, so that I don't have to use the chemical-laden commercial soap products provided in the restrooms. This is definitely on my re-order list.

I've been using black soap for about 5 weeks now, and it worked immediately! I noticed my face clearing up in one week. The problem I had was that it dried my nose area out at first so I had to use extra moisturizer to keep it from doing so, but I guess that's because I am not using the black soap with shea butter? Overall great product! The skin drying has stopped and my skin is looking soooo much better. I did experience one small acne bump because I had went from using the product from 2xs a day to once a day so I am back on my 2xs a day usage. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with sensitive skin and experiencing break outs. I've tried so many other products but this is the only one to work!

ordered three of these and I use as a body and face wash and shampoo. So far I love, love, love it on my skin and you will need to use a loofah sponge to get the best lather. It takes out all the extra oils without it being to dry and then I follow up with pure shea butter as a moisturizer. As a shampoo it gets my hair pretty clean but it doesn't lather very good and doesn't reach my scalp. I have alot of thick hair so I may go back to using regular shampoo to get a clean scalp.

I have always used expensive skin care products, and multiple different ones to shower, shave and wash my face. I tried this based on a recommendation from an eco-friendly website, and my expectations were not high, but I am amazed and will continue to buy this over and over again. I stopped buying shave cream because I find I get a closer shave with this soap. It is great in the shower and also great on the face.

i have used dr. bronner's (bar & liquid soaps), the whole foods generic brand (liquid only), kiss my face (bars only), and dr. woods soaps. my skin type is on the dry side. i am sensitive to fragrances and oils in soaps. this evaluation is based on personal preference through experience. i find dr. woods to be the most gentle of the soaps i have used and dr. bronner's to be the harshest. although all these soaps have rich oil bases and are all-natural, dr. woods happens to be the one i prefer. i feel clean when i scrub with it and when i rinse it off, my skin feels smooth. in comparison, other liquid soaps leave my skin feeling as if it has been dried and that there is still soap residue left. i considered it as an effect of the shea butter but i have also used the almond soap w/out shea butter with same effect. i use this soap instead of body washes because although body washes can be good for moisturizing, they do not leave me with a satisfactory clean feeling. the black soap did improve complexion. i do not have an acne problem but do occasionally get irritations on my skin due to dryness. the black soap takes care of these irritations effectively. it soothes and clears them away quickly. whatever oils that are in this soap agree with my skin. this is something i appreciate since i have a mild allergic reaction to most fragrances and oils in cleaning products. since this soap is gentle on my skin as well as an effective cleanser, i will continue to buy this and use it for the rest of my life unless the formula is changed. i would recommend this soap if someone were looking for a good soap to buy. it is better than dr. bronner's. in fact, i feel that this is the best soap we have out there on the market today that is actual soap.

This is the most spectacular soap ! Soft and gentle it re-moisturizes both hair and skin. It is fragrant and very reminiscent of soaps made long ago. Our family absolutely raved about this and we are recommending it to friends as fast as we can. One thing to remember-it is loaded with Shea Butter and therefore by adding marbles to the pump bottle, we can shake to mix it up before dispensing in the shower, at the sink etc. Marvelous product ! A++++++

I use this as a facial cleanser and it doesn't leave my face dry or itchy. I also use this as a shampoo and it feels like it is cleansing yet moisturizing. It does not dry out my hair or feel as though it is stripping it of it's nutrition. I am also an African American with natural 4b hair. Excellent shampoo! I will continue to use this as my shampoo

My daughter has tried Many high priced fACIAL products for severe acne. Black soap has truly been a miracle product for her. We tried several different black soaps. Some dried here skin out TOO much & some made her skin burn. I found Dr. Woods liquid black soap on a web search. It works fine for her. My Grandson also uses it. I use it to wash my hair. A friend is visiting from Hawaii. The islands love to gift you with various skin fungi that are very difficult to treat. The black soap even works on the skin rot!! Good stuff!!

This product has an herbal smell and mildly an medicinal smell, but it does the job. I use it as a facial pack to cleanse my face. It has worked wonders on my skin. From time to time I have mild adult acne and this has been a life saver. I also alternate between this black soap and Dr. Wood's Tea Tree Castille Soap. If you are someone who has break outs of any sort this is the most effective and cost efficient product I have found. Excellent as a facial pak as well as the entire body. Of course fragrance wise you shouldn't expect a bouquet out of a Tea Tree product, however if you want results to treat your skin and cleanse it in an antiseptic way and clearer skin this is your best bet.

I use this castile soap as a shampoo. As an African American woman, I need a shampoo that is non- drying. The tingle from the peppermint is an added bonus for my scalp. This definitely works great and I would recommend it to anyone.

Words cannot say enough positive for the relief from dry skin and the wonderful texture it provides for your hair. Then there is the plus of invigorating feeling as well as wonderful smell. Economical, too. Wonderful way for a home-bound individual to shop.

One of the things that really surprised me was how it cleans my pores. Nothing has worked this well. Not only that, but it is not overly drying like many soaps. I usually use cream-based facial cleaners like Burt's, but for the price, this is just as effective. Excellent quality.

Dr. Woods brand is the only soap brand I will use on my fifteen month old son and family. My family uses this soap as a body wash, shampoo, and hand cleaner in the bathroom. Love the shea butter. Definitely not over drying and has a lovely peppermint scent to go along.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this product, since it was my first time ordering one of Dr. Wood's products. I have to say that even after the first application I was very pleased. It leaves my skin feeling clean, silky soft and really helps control the breakouts. I will be buying this product again.

Fragrance wise you shouldn't expect a bouquet out of a Tea Tree product, however if you want results to treat your skin and cleanse it in an antiseptic way and clearer skin this is your best bet. If you want clear skin results quick this product is A-1. It's also excellent for shaving because the tea tree oils serves as an antiseptic cleanse and purifies just in case you have minor niks from shaving. Excellent product. I recommend this for teens as well that may have acne or bod acne. Very cost efficient product that offers great results.

I use this as a face wash after exfoliating. It is the most moisturizing soap I have ever used. The tea tree oil penetrates your skin and help cut down on flaky dry skin. It also smells great when put in a hot bath. Also used the peppermint soap. I think that one smell better but this is a better moisturizer.

My wife recommended I try Tea Tree soap. And once I tried Dr. Woods' formulation, I was hooked. I can't take a shower now without it. If I don't have a 3 bottle backup supply in the cabinet at all times I get worried. Try it. You'll find it will become an essential part of your life, I believe.

I use this product as my facial wash. The tea tree oil helps prevent breakouts. The shea butter keeps my skin soft and smooth. I have combination skin and this is the best product I've used that addresses the issues of breakouts and skin being too dry or oily. Definitely a keeper. I also use this soap as a hand wash. Sorry for the late reply. Received the parcel on Wednesday. Since then I ve tried the argan oil, black soap and bar shampoo. Below are my findings;

1. Argan oil- applied generous amount on my face before sleep since i have combination skin and some parts are rather dry. The oil has a unique fruity scent with light texture. Woke up in the morning without oily mess on my face. Seems like the oil was completely absorb in my skin overnight. Will continue using it and see how it goes.

2. Dr woods black soap - my favorite of the three purchases. Very soothing scent and it is non drying. I am using it to wash my face too!

3. Bar shampoo - easy to use. My hair has a different 'feel' after using it. After rinsing, it felt really clean almost squeaky clean. I almost expected that my hair will become dry when it dries but it didnt.

I am really satisfied with my purchases. Will look forward to try out other products from you in future.

I want to order more Argan Oil for my dad.

Because so far for me, I really like it a lottttttttt.

A combination of the dr.Wood Black soup +shea butter as a cleanser and argan oil for moisturizer is really working out awesomely for me.

my my skin has improve by a lot coz as u know, i was having my exam early this month, so for like 2 mths before that untl my exam's over, my skin was really in a bad condition due to the stress, and lack of skin's care. plus it became worst after i use a wrong cleanser or I would say, a defect cleanser.

my sensitive skin reacts so badly as the result of all above, and as the result, pimples are everywhere, and it just dont stop.

so after I use the dr.wood soap and in addition with the use of argan oil, I can say that my skin improve greatly.

of course my skin is not perfectly heal yet since i've only use the argan oil for less than 2 weeks. but seriously, there are only like 2 -3 small pimples, and only left all the black scars which I'm working on to make it disappear. haha...

and it's true, the oil is not that oily, and it's so perfect for moisturizing...

I will write a proper review on my blog maybe after 2-3 more weeks. will use the combination of dr wood's soap + argan oil diligently and hope it will give me a better in a longer period of consumption.

and my mom likes it too, since my mom use it for cracked heels.
